 | Quicks cottage is one of three carefully restored granite Victorian cottages, located in the beautiful hamlet of Trowan which is just a mile from St Ives, the Tate and the superb Porthmeor Beach.
Trowan is surrounded by a ring of lush fields and has superb sea views. It is set in spectacular coastal scenery on the rugged Cornish coast admired by D.H. Lawrence.
The cottage is ideally located for visiting St Ives, spending time on the beach and for superb walking country.
The solid granite walls reflect sunlight from early in the morning through to late evening. From the kitchen, the east-facing patio enjoys the morning sun. The lounge patio faces west is a perfect sun-trap ideal for relaxing in the evening sunshine.
High standards of insulation, double-glazing and efficient combination central heating make this an ideal all-year-round holiday cottage. In the spacious lounge comfortable sofas are clustered round an inglenook granite fireplace with a wood burning stove. |
The cottage comfortably sleeps four. The master bedroom has a double bed and is equipped with freeview TV and the second bedroom two 3ft twin beds. Both bedrooms are beautifully presented in a traditional English cottage style complimented with simple hand-painted wooden furniture.
The contemporary bathroom features a large walk-in shower and a double ended bath for relaxing after a day at the beach or walking the coastal path. Natural slate floors to the ground floor with timber floorboards contrast beautifully with exposed granite and soft painted plasterwork.
There is a generously sized kitchen with a farmhouse style table and ample space for family dining. The kitchen is hand made with granite surfaces and is well equipped with dishwasher, washer/dryer, fan oven and microwave plus all necessary cooking utensils and crockery.

 | Quicks Cottage is just a mile from the bustling fishing village of St Ives which is undoubtedly one of (if not the) prettiest in Cornwall.
It can be reached in just 5 minutes by car (or taxi) or by walking the costal path which leads directly to the Tate gallery and the stunning Porthmeor Beach.
St Ives has a superb range of restaurants and bars and a selection of interesting boutiques and shops. There is also a range of practical facilities and attractions like the recently built leisure centre and swimming pool, cinema and a good supermarket.
The Coastal path from Trowan to Porthmeor Beach leads to one of Cornwall's finest beaches and is popular with both families and surfers. There are changing facilities, showers and lifeguards. Wetsuits and surf boards can be hired most of the year. |
