From the M6 follow the A686 to Alston. On entering Alston and then take the first left at the top of the hill, the A689 to Nenthead, Stanhope and Durham. After 2.5 miles you will pass the Nent Hall Hotel on your right hand side, pass over the bridge and take the first left, follow uphill keeping right at the bend. After 1 mile Greenends is on the right hand side.
