 | Whitefield Barton is a 16th Century Farm House, which is situated within Exmoor National Park, and surrounded by beautiful farmland with fantastic views as far as Bodmin Moor, Barnstaple, Dartmoor, and even across the Bristol Channel towards South Wales on clear days.
This is a 200 Acre working farm with Hereford cross suckling cows and calves, a flock of 300 sheep, lambs, ponies, a horse, dogs and cats.
The accommodation is suitable for couples or families, with a 3rd bedroom available for larger parties.
Visitors are always more than welcome to walk the farm, which has footpaths which lead directly onto Exmoor National Park itself.
The self catering accommodation is actually half of the farmhouse. It is completely self contained on two floors, and is tastefully furnished, decorated and carpeted throughout, to provide maximum comfort, with a high standard of hygiene. |
Accommodation
On the ground floor is a spacious and very comfortable furnished lounge, with an attractive stone fireplace, a remote controlled colour television with teletext, a video cassette recorder with a small library of video tapes, books and board games.
On the first floor is a large family bedroom with double bed and two children's single beds and a further twin bedded room. Both rooms have their own private wash hand basins and hot and cold water. Pillows, duvets and bed linen are all provided.
A large bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and WC (with hot water in all rooms provided by the Rayburn). A Cot and highchair are available on request for younger children. |  |
 | Kitchen Diner
The ground floor is where you'll find the kitchen/diner. This is a very large, yet cosy room, which houses an Oil-Fired Rayburn, providing warmth and hot water. This room has modern fitted units, refrigerator, microwave oven, electric cooker, table and chairs and an array of kitchen utensils. A large walk in larder contains a separate freezer. Adjoining the kitchen is a conservatory, leading to a downstairs toilet and utility room with automatic washing machine. A tumble drier is also available for guests to use, upon request from the farmhouse next door.
Patio area
An enclosed private patio, with a sunny sheltered aspect is also provided for guests, including the use of garden chairs, table, parasol and barbecue equipment. |
