The original building was built in 1840 and hops were dried in the oast until 1995 when the last hops were grown on Elphicks Farm. Simon has lived on Elphicks Farm all his life and still farms the 180 acres of fruit, arable and pasture with river frontage. <br>The location is exceptionally peaceful, well away from any traffic noise.
