 | Welcome to Beckfoot Country House luxury bed and breakfast, holiday accommodation in the Lowther Valley (Cumbria, England) a beautiful quiet peaceful and unspoilt corner of the Lake District National Park. All rooms are en-suite as standard with at least 5' double beds. Three of our rooms now have 6' double beds. We also have twin bed options and a ground floor annexe room. We are pet friendly, children friendly, walker friendly, biker and cycle friendly with plenty of secure off road parking.
Quiet and secluded set in good walking country, we have 3 acres of grounds including a paddock and small wood. The rear of the house leads out onto the surrounding fells.Welcoming log fires in all reception rooms. We take dogs in all but two bedrooms and make a small charge of £2.50pn. This includes a doggie bed, bowl for water and a welcome chew. |
We have eight letting bedrooms all with en-suite facilities (some rooms have a bath others have just shower with toilet). All rooms have Satellite TV, mini bar and there is complimentary tea/coffee facilities in each room.
The room shown is our family room which this winter has undergone refurbishment. It's now a Luxury Family room with twin beds that also make a 6' double plus a sofa that can make a further two single beds. It has glorious views over front garden and beyond. The TV is flat screen. There is also an ironing point in this room, and it has en-suite bath and power shower.
We now have an External Ground floor room (suitable for partially disabled) with parking directly in front. It has twin zip and link beds which can become a 6' double bed and has a pull out single bed. It also has a lounge area.Children will be made very welcome in both these rooms and a Cot is available.

 | Downstairs there is a Drawing room and a smaller sitting room with games, books and with a further TV in for your enjoyment. An elegant oak panelled dining room, with views over the front garden, is situated along the hallway down from the reception. All rooms have open fires. Leaflets and maps are available in the reception and in the corridor outside the dining room. We close December, January and February.
Guitar Weekends
These are weekends set aside just for guitar enthusiasts to come away for a weekend to learn more about how to play the guitar and to meet other like minded players. The weekends cover most styles of playing including Strugglers, Improvers, Rock, Blues, Django, Jazz, Maintenance & Country.
This makes an excellent present for the one you love if his hobby is playing the guitar. This weekend is not for raw beginners. |
