Leicestershire Holiday Accommodation

Leicestershire is a county of enormous diversity. From the buzz of the city to the peaceful English countryside, there is much to see and explore. You have picked an ideal location for a relaxing weekend in the countryside. On offer is a variety of excellent accommodation, both serviced and self-catering.

Leicestershire is in the centre of England. The uplands are rich and fertile farm land with industry and some mining to the East and West. The hilly Charnwood Forest is in the North/West and the main rivers are the Soar and the Wreak. The dairy farming here is the source of the legendary Stilton cheese, a well-known delight from this area.

The River Soar rises to the east of Hinckley, in the far south of the county, and flows northward through Leicester before emptying into the River Trent at the point where Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Nottinghamshire meet.

A large part of the northwest of Leicestershire, around Coalville, forms part of the new National Forest area extending into Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
