The thermostatically controlled central heating keeps the cottage cosy on cold days, but you can supplement the heating by lighting the wood burning stove - we provide a plentiful supply of logs. From the French window look out over the local Golf course at glorious views of Hadrian's Wall country towards the Scottish borders, especially when the weather is sunny or on a frosty winter's day. |

Great care has been taken to ensure that whether you are preparing a simple breakfast or a special meal you will find all the crockery and utensils you may need.The spacious hallway leads to both bedrooms and the shower room, which has a large shower cubicle, WC, washbasin, razor point and heated towel rail.The two bedrooms, one with a kingsized double bed and the other with twin beds, are beautifully furnished with pine furniture and attractive bed linen and accessories.  | Stanegate Cottage is situated above the village of Greenhead, which is bypassed by the A69 Newcastle - Carlisle road. We are 5 minutes by car from the nearest site on Hadrian's Wall - the Roman Army museum and Walltown Crags The cottage makes a perfect base for visiting all the World Heritage sites on Hadrian's Wall or for a walking or cycling holiday in the area. The Lake District and Northumberland National Park are both within easy travelling distance. |

Location From the A69 Newcastle - Carlisle road take the turning off to Greenhead and Hadrian's Wall. At the T junction turn left and go up the hill through the NO THROUGH road sign, past the campsite and bungalow. Braeside is the next house, go through the gate and the cottage is behind the house.
