 | A delightful B & B in the centre of the picturesque village of Bampton on the edge of the Cotswolds. Bampton is close to Burford, Faringdon and Witney and near the upper reaches of the River Thames.
We pride ourselves on being friendly and welcoming and providing good food, with excellent rooms and service.
Wheelgate House has recently been refurbished. It has a light and airy dining room where breakfast is served. Outside there is a pretty garden with a terrace and sitting area.

The menu includes orange juice, fruit, yoghurt, cereals and toast with various conserves and spreads. Tea or coffee.
This can be followed by a choice of full English breakfast (sausage, bacon, free range egg, tomatoes and mushrooms), bacon sandwich, scrambled or poached eggs on toast, omelette with cheese and tomato or porridge.
The bedrooms are homely and very comfortable. Each bedroom has a colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.

 | Bampton is situated in West Oxfordshire, close to Burford, Faringdon and Witney and near the upper reaches of the River Thames. Boats are available for hire at Radcot and Lechlade, only a few miles away.
There are village pubs serving food at lunchtime and one serving food in the evening, a coffee house and various take-aways in Bampton itself while the surrounding area has a wide choice of country inns and restaurants that we will be happy to discuss and recommend. The Clanfield Tavern is less than two miles away, it is a warm and welcoming country pub with a conservatory restaurant.
We have a taxi service in the village.
