Barn Cottage and Stables

In Gruline, Isle of Mull, Scotland

Barn Cottage and Stables
Barn Cottage and Stables are converted stone barns forming part of the original Gruline Home Farm. We are centrally located and enjoy a quiet position off the main road amongst trees and farmland close to both Loch Na Keal and Loch Ba.

We live with our small family of animals away from the hustle and bustle, where time can go as quickly or slowly as you please. Tucked away behind Barn Cottage are the stables and field where we keep our horse, his companion sheep and a few chickens and guinea pigs. The animals are always happy to meet visitors and you are welcome to visit them in their stable or out in the field.
We offer Bed and Breakfast in Barn Cottage. Visitors have their own entrance and are welcome to come and go as they please. We have just two rooms - our twin room has a wash hand basin ensuite and its own private bathroom (which has a bath with shower over) is just a few steps along the hallway. The family room, which can sleep four, has an ensuite bathroom, again with bath and shower over. Both rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers and irons. Electric blankets, boot dryers, a travel cot and high chair are available if required. Visitors can relax in the guest lounge with satellite TV, video, DVD, and CDs and a selection of books and games.

Our water supply is taken straight from the hill, apart from being filtered it undergoes no chemical treatment and is regularly tested by the local authority to assure its quality.
Concessions are available for children and special rates can be offered for parties booking both rooms and sharing the private bathroom. We may ask for a small deposit to secure a booking but visitors are respectfully advised that should a booking be cancelled less than 48 hours before their visit, and we are unable to re let the rooms, then full payment becomes due. We recommend visitors take out travel insurance to cover any losses which may be incurred.

We enjoyed visiting Mull for many years before moving here to live and we aim to provide the welcome and facilities we would like to receive ourselves. We will do our best to provide any special requirements. For the comfort of all visitors we are a non smoking establishment. Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement at no extra charge
