Welcome 2 Dryburgh Abbey Hotel......
4 star award

dryburgh abbey hotel   The Dryburgh Abbey Hotel sits proudly in its own ten acre estate on the banks of the River Tweed. The views from the public rooms and many of the bedrooms are of the majestic river and/or the historic and atmospheric ruins of the Abbey.
This splendid baronial mansion dates from the mid nineteenth century, and is owned and managed by the Grose family, hoteliers for more than one hundred years.
Dryburgh has a total of 38 bedrooms including 2 Tower Suites all furnished to the highest of standards and decorated with care and attention to detail.
To celebrate our location on the banks of Scotland's most famous salmon river, each room has been named after a 'Salmon Fly'! These include interesting titles such as 'Hairy Mary', 'Silver Doctor' and 'Thunder and Lightning'.
All floors of the hotel are serviced by a modern passenger lift

The menu changes daily, and features the 'Art Cuisine' of Head Chef René Gaté. A fine dinner awaits you after a day filled with walking, fishing, touring, sporting or relaxing in the grounds of the hotel or at the indoor pool.

The Dryburgh Abbey Hotel offers the unique opportunity to experience high quality conference facilities in a relaxing rural setting. Delegates can unwind after a hard day's work, relaxing in our indoor pool or spending a few peaceful hours on our Trout beat on the Tweed and then enjoy a superb dinner in our Tweed Restaurant.

With a wealth of experience, our stunning location and the breathtaking backdrop of the Abbey ruins Dryburgh is the perfect venue for your Scottish Wedding reception.
Many couples choose to have their Marriage Ceremony in the ruins of Dryburgh Abbey itself - one of the most tranquil and atmospheric venues imaginable.
After the ceremony a piper leads the way back to the hotel for the wedding celebration and, while the bagpipes set the tone for the party to come, the grounds of both the Abbey and hotel are the perfect setting for the wedding photographer to capture that special day.
A Sporting Life at Dryburgh could be no better, with lots on offer ranging from our own indoor pool, fishing in the River Tweed, walking, cycling and the Melrose Sevens rugby.
