The house is situated in the South Mainland of Shetland in the picturesque rural community of Cunningsburgh, just 10 miles from the capital Lerwick, and 15 miles from the main airport at Sumburgh. The house is well appointed, a mile from the main A970, overlooking Aithsvoe with sea views out to Mousa, surrounded by meadowland full of wild flowers and bird life. Curlews and oyster catchers abound.
If you are looking for a place to relax, within easy reach of Lerwick and other tourist attractions, this is the place for you. Why not use Windrush as a base for exploring the mainland of Shetland. |
Facilities Offered
The guest accommodation is on the ground floor of the house and has a ramped entrance to facilitate access for people with mobility difficulties.
Meals are usually served in the upstairs dining room but can be provided downstairs in the conservatory if required.
The shower facilities are level access with seat and rails provided. Both bedrooms have TVs, clock radios, and hairdryers. Guests are able to make full use of the utility room including fridge, washing machine and dryer.

Breakfast
Breakfast is a veritable feast with fruit, cereals, and yoghurt to start with followed by a choice of traditional bacon and eggs etc. Why not try some local fish for a change? Then round the whole meal off with toast and home made preserves.
