 | The Rising Sun itself was built in 1788 and originally called 'The Rising Sun and Lark' -I suppose we are quite lucky really, we could be called The Larkin' !
We offer en-suite accommodation in a traditional local pub right in the heart of the city centre. Breakfast is served in the room and is light ,continental style - tea /coffee orange juice, biscuits and toast. Lunch and evening meals are available from the pub menu at the bar.
You'll never forget the name, you'll see it every morning , God willing!

We are just 50yds from Bath's world famous Pulteney Bridge. Built in 1773 by Robert Adams to connect the city to the fields owned by Frances Pulteney which allowed development of the area.
Great Pulteney St is Bath's finest Georgian street, built by Thomas Baldwin in 1789. The scale of the architecture will leave humbled by its beauty and it is just around the corner from the pub. | |
 | We are , without doubt 'Bath's friendliest Pub' and are confident that your stay here will be comfortable, interesting and full of fun! We can do a deal for 3 day breaks so come and rest a while here. Use us as a base to tour and explore. Some of our rooms are very large and can easily accommodate a family or group of friends. The garden , table tennis pool and skittles are sure to keep everyone happy while you are here.
Other must see attractions in Bath are the Abbey, the Roman Baths, Museum of Costume and a city full of history and culture. The now infamous Bath Spa project (3yrs behind schedule) is now due to open in Jan 2005, although we are taking Bets not Bookings on this one!
There are no strangers here, only friends we've not yet met |
