 | Verena and Paul Brandon own and run Chestnut House, a five diamond village hotel situated in the old part of Woolavington, five miles from Bridgwater yet in the countryside on the edge of the Somerset Levels.
We lived abroad for much of our adult life having gained a wealth of hotel and catering management experience in the UK, Africa and Central Europe.
We have brought back to the UK many ideas to enhance our hotel and the service that we provide. We consider that our professionalism and attention to detail are important factors in ensuring that our guests have a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable stay.
Chestnut House was originally a farmhouse, built prior to 1700. Eight years ago, it was completely renovated and now offers seven en suite double rooms as well as a licensed residential restaurant, beautiful landscaped grounds and a secluded car park.
Chestnut House is a place where you can truly feel at home |
All of our rooms are of a five diamonds plus level. They are en-suite, with television, radio and alarm, hospitality tray and direct dial telephone.
A large selection of drinks from the bar are available throughout the day and evening. An ironing and washing service is available. We will do our very best to find anything else that you might need.
We provide fax, broadband Internet facilities (in our office), in-room Internet and laptop connections and copying facilities for our guests. These are available at all reasonable times.
The fresh and airy Garden Room provides the ideal atmosphere to enjoy our home cooking at breakfast and dinner; we carry a wide range of wines and spirits to complement your meal.
There is also a lounge and a drawing room to relax in at any time whilst enjoying a quiet drink.
Finally, there is a wonderful covered veranda overlooking the landscaped garden and dovecote. Relax and take a stroll. | |
 | We want you to make the most of your stay, and while we keep updated with many local guides and brochures, you might like a few suggestions before your arrival.
