The Camping Paddock which is on a very gentle slope is the smallest area of the park and is used only for tents and small motor-caravans. All three areas have service roads, night lighting, standpipe, waste water and refuse points. Also provided are two chemical disposal points a direct waste disposal point for motor-caravans and two recycling points into which we try to encourage our customers to re-cycle as much as possible. (During peak times we use an additional field Top Field which is adjacent to the Walnut Paddocks. |
The amenity block is fully tiled and centrally heated with large showers and washing cubicles, for ladies and gents, hairdryers and shaver points, plus two separate showers (with shower, toilet and washbasin) and a fully equipped disabled unit, all with free hot water and a bathroom (small charge). Also provided are ample dishwashing sinks, freezer facility for ice packs (no charge) and laundry room.
The Shop/Off Licence carries a good range of groceries, fresh milk, free range eggs, ice creams, chilled soft drinks, wine and beer and during the main season we will also collect newspapers and freshly baked bread for you (if ordered). We also stock Calor and Camping Gaz and offer a freezer pack hire service.
Our Information Section has a good selection of brochures on attractions in the area, footpath walks and cycle routes and there is always someone on hand to help with any further information you may require.

 | The park is surrounded by an extensive network of scenic footpath walks, the favourites being to the famous Glastonbury Tor (0.75 mile) and to the town (1.5 miles) but if you are a keen walker there are many more to choose from.
For those who enjoy cycling there are some excellent well marked cycle routes along quiet country roads to local villages The Somerset Levels, The Peat Moor 'Iron Age' Visitor Centre, or The Westhay National Nature Reserve (8 miles) or to the coast (17 miles). Bicycle Hire is available from the Park.
For the Fisherman we have a half acre pond well stocked mainly with carp but some roach and tench, less than 300 yds from most pitches with good access and parking for the less able within 25 yds of the pond. Even if not a fisherman the pond is still a very pleasant spot to take a stroll. The whole Park is a haven for wildlife, from birds to badgers. |
