Maenllwyd started life at the end of the 19th century as a Manse. We bought it in 1980 as a family home but have gradually over the years and as the children left home, have turned it into a well established guest house. We are continually striving to update and refurbish in order to provide our guests with every comfort.
All our rooms have en-suite facilities, tea and coffee making tray, tv and hairdryer.
Outside there is parking for approx. 10 cars in addition to a large garden where our guests can sit and enjoy the sunshine.
We also provide safe storage for bikes.

We have 8 bedrooms 4 double, 3 twin bedded and 1 triple room.
2 of the double rooms have king sized beds and one of the twins has a bath as well as shower. The triple room has a double and 2 single beds and can be used as a double, twin, triple or family room.
2 doubles and 2 twins are on 1st floor and the remainder on the second floor.

 | Machynlleth is a thriving historic town in Mid Wales. It has a regular rail service and buses from North to South of the country pass through. Access to the major motorways is approx. 1 hour away which means that Machynlleth has not been spoiled by too much traffic and has maintained it’s charm.
The focal point of the town is the clock which was gift, in 1874, of the people of the town to celebrate the coming of age of Viscount Castlereagh, the eldest son of the Marquess of Londonderry.
Other notable buildings include the Parliament House where the first Welsh parliament was established by Owain Glyndwr at the beginning of the 15th century.
Royal House, built in the 1300s, is so called as it believed that Charles 1st stayed there in 1643. This building now houses the Tourist Information Centre.
There are several good pubs and restaurants in the area and we will be happy to recommend them. |
