Welcome 2 23 St Mary's York...... |
||||
Welcome to 23 St Marys and our beautiful and historic city. This unusual Victorian terrace dates from the 1890's with some houses from a much earlier period. Bootham was a very prestigious area to live, with lots of parkland to the north, south and west. Before Henry's dissolution of the monasteries Bootham and St Marys was part of St Marys Abbey, which covered a very large area. The ruins of the Abbey can still be seen in the Museum Gardens. We do hope that your visit to 23 St Marys will be comfortable and enjoyable, and that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you to our home. |
